In Birdsville swap tales over a pint in one of Australia’s iconic pubs and watch the sunset with a glass of wine on top of Australia’s largest sand dune, ‘big red’. Explore the great mining towns of Australia learning the lingo and swagger. We will stay in fantastic locations like the Palace hotel in Broken Hsill and Kinnon & Co Outback lodge in Longreach. And best of all see the wilds of the Australian landscape by plane: no long drives, no standing in line, just pure joy. You will not soon forget the faces of your fellow travellers creating close connections over fantastic meals and unique destinations.

Day 1. Archerfield to Tiboburra
On day one, we meet at Archerfield at 12:00, after a briefing on the flight and safety procedures, we load everyone and continue to our first stop, Tiboburra with a fuel stop in Coonamble.
Tiboburra is our first overnight stay and comes at the recommendation of our resident outback expert, John Hogan. Aside from local museums and walking tracks, Tiboburra is home to three great hotels and good country food. We shall retire soon after dinner to be ready to see Lake Eyre and Ayers rock on Day 2!
William Creek to Ayers Rock
Day 2. Tiboburra to William Creek to Ayers Rock
We leave Tiboburra behind for William Creek, leaving relatively early in the morning to get the most out of the day. On this flight, we will pass over Lake Eyre, taking the time to appreciate it’s otherworldly beauty. We will stop in Williams Creek to refuel and enjoy the local cuisine.
We depart Williams Creek, Uluru bound! On arrival we will fly around the rock, ensuring everyone can take a photo, before we land and meet at the resort. We will then board our transport to get up close and personal with Uluru, before our sunset dinner beside this Australian Icon.
Ayers Rock to Kings Canyon to Alice Springs
Day 3. Ayers rock to King’s Canyon to Alice Springs
We depart in the morning to see Uluru in early light, before our short hop to Kings Canyon for a look at the majestic King’s canyon. If we arrive early enough, we will do the King’s canyon creek walk, an hour long shaded and non-strenuous trek with views of the canyon. After the walk, we will return to the King’s canyon resort for lunch.
After lunch, we’ll depart for Alice Springs. Alice Springs has a wide variety of attractions, good food and great accommodation.
Alice Springs to Normanton
Day 4. (Option 1.)
Weather permitting, we turn north and fly for Adel’s Grove, a beautiful nature park just south of the gulf of Carpenteria. This area comes highly recommended and is very beautiful.
After exploring this wild area, we will depart for Normanton, on the coast of the Gulf of Carpenteria.
Normanton to Hamilton Island
Day 5. (Option 1.)
After leaving Normanton, we cut across the horn of Queensland for Hamilton Island.
Between the great hotels, beautiful beaches and delicious food, we should finish the trip feeling like stars!
Hamilton Island to Archerfield, Brisbane
DAY 4. (Option 2.)
We turn south and head for the cliffs of the Nullabor, looking out onto the Australian Bight!
This flight takes us through the Victorian Desert to the Southern Coast, with a stop for fuel at Coober Peaty.
Day 5 (Option 2.)
After a night in the Nullabor Motel’s Cabins, we will depart for Port Lincoln and stop for brunch. If anyone would like to swim with the Great White Sharks, it can be arranged here!
We then fly to Mildura, where we will enjoy wine at the Trentham Estate Winery overlooking the Murray river before retiring to the Quality Grand Hotel.
Day 6. (Both Options.)
After a restful night’s sleep and lunch, we return to Brisbane. Everyone is invited to accompany us for Dinner at the McLeod Country Golf Club and to swap stories and photographs.
